Nola Mancy | Photographer

Nola Mancy is a photographer living and working in the Byron Shire, Northern NSW.

She holds Diplomas in Photoimaging and Visual Arts and, in 2010, was awarded Student Photographer of the Year.

Her work has featured in group exhibitions including The Border Art Prize, the Byron Art Classic and the Ocean Shores Art Expo. She has also been a finalist and winner in various regional art prizes.

Nola's personal work is largely influenced by her surroundings and love of nature. Drawn to the details in the natural world, she explores texture, form and colour, finding inspiration in changing seasons, the colour combinations found in plants and the beauty of nature's design.

Nola also owns and operates Little Light Studio, a product photography studio in the Byron Shire.

“My photography is a lot about being out in Nature. Just being still and noticing what is around. Before I get my camera out I just wander around noticing what is there.  It feels like a form of meditation for me. Being still, being connected and seeing what presents itself".
